We were approached by a leading Angolan distribution chain who were experiencing difficulties in procuring affordable, fresh produce which importantly was shipped in a reliable and timely manner ensuring high standards of freshness.
On behalf the client, and using our network, we visited South Africa to identify potential solutions. This included visiting leading suppliers and distributors in this sector identified through our market research. We were able to negotiate bulk rates with shortlisted suitable suppliers and satisfy our client that these suppliers could also meet their quality and quantity demands.
We now have an established agreement where we are accountable for whole vlaue chain, including the purchase and transportation of the products via sea and road. This includes handling the financial transactions through appropriate trade instruments, exchange rate set-offs, as well as on-going relationship management between all parties - our client, banks, suppliers, and transportation and distribution companies.
